Care & Handling Instructions for Jewelry:
Now that you have your beautiful new piece of jewelry we want you to be able to enjoy it for many years!
A great deal of time and care goes into making every piece of jewelry so taking proper care of it is essential.
-We use a variety of metals in our jewelry. These include, but not limited to, sterling silver, gold filled, copper, silver plated and gold plated. All jewelry will tarnish over time. It is recommended that you use a soft polishing cloth to clean your jewelry. Never use a jewelry cleaner as it can eat away at the stringing materials and damage certain stones and pearls.
-Store your pieces away from direct sunlight, moisture or steam. Moisture can damage thread, cording and other stringing materials and can cause metals to tarnish faster. Do not wear your jewelry while bathing, swimming (doesn't matter if it's fresh or salt water!) or doing dishes.
-Always spray perfume, hair spray or lotion before putting on your jewelry.
Following these simple guidelines will ensure that your jewelry will last longer and give you years of pleasure.
Repairs of Jewelry:
In the event that a piece should break (we hope not) please follow these instructions:
-Gather up ALL the pieces and place the items in a bag.
-Send us an email at info@helensgirls.com so that we may provide you with a shipping address. You are responsible for shipping costs.
-Once we receive the item we will make a determination on whether it is repairable. Please keep in mind that we do not stock huge amounts of supplies, we are a small company. We will make every attempt to find and use the original beads or gemstones. In the event that they are no longer available then we will email you with alternatives. The cost will be determined by the extent of the repairs. Again, we will email you with an amount for your approval prior to doing any work.
Care & Handling of Totes and Other Quilted Items:
-We use high quality 100% cotton fabrics, genuine cork and high quality zippers and metal purse findings.
-Please never use commercial cleaners on metal parts.
